Someone here once commented that any plumbing project involves at least two trips to the hardware store. I'm on trip three and still not done.

Pix to follow if or when I ever finish.

:-?

OK, not woodworking precisely but I am putting up wood paneling in the bathroom.

I have a friend who once said, and I have quoted him many times..........."There are no 5 minute plumbing jobs!"

Hey, Ron! With me, it's more like "There is no such thing as a 5 hour plumbing job"

Do you guys realize that there are people who actually make a living doing plumbing ?
I keep 4 of them on speed dial at all times. I've busted my last knuckle with a pipe wrench.

Hey Guys,

Working for 32 years in an wet lab I've had my share of plumbing projects, they were part of my job. Even with that experience, I choose to call someone else when it comes to home projects, I hate domestic pluming jobs  .

Cheers,
Tom

None of it would be so bad except I'm installing a glass vessel sink. It's the kind that sits on top of the vanity deck. It came with the strainer installed so in my innocence I presumed it was water tight. Never, NEVER presume anything. It appears that's where the leak is. You read it right - now that everything is assembled; supply, no leaks, rest of the drain, no leaks, ... it's at the joint between the sink and the strainer. Meaning everything needs to be undone to remove the strainer, apply some pipe dope, then start all over again.

I'm not a stranger to plumbing, just failed to think things through. A casualty of Old Timer's disease I suspect.

Time for a pint.
