Back when I was 16 years old. I think I made
900 off that lot of furs. Not bad for a kid .
I always loved my grandfathers wooden canvas canoes.

I remember learning how to skin a muskrat  I would cut into the fur by accident and my
big Italian grandfather would blow his top.. I became a ZEN very fast.
Thanks for looking

In the pic are muskrats , mink, racoon, and beaver pelts on the left. My uncle left then out of the picture.
The cameras back then never had a wide angle lens.

Cool stuff. One of my room mates at college was into fox trapping with his brother and they did quite well with it. Intersting stuff.

My problem was dad always did the skinning and I never learned to properly skin muskrats and coon. I had to learn by myself as a adult skinning deer.He also cleaned the fish we caught thinking he was doing us a favor. It would have been a bigger favor if he had taught me how to do it properly.
