The motor in my '94 Shovey is getting tired. I guess 215K miles has been rough on it. I priced new trucks and nearly fainted. I considered good used ones but I think it is cheaper in the long run just to install a new motor. Picked this up today at the UPS freight terminal :D

Can you believe I bought a BRAND NEW GM Goodwrench 350ci crate engine SHIPPED for $1,709?! Toss in another $300 in parts (distributor cap, wires, pugs, filter, etc); add $25 in pizza and beer for my buddy; and voila! I'll have a sweet running truck again.

Sounds like a great deal!
That's what I intend to do if my 1999 Suburban's 454 with 147,000 miles on it ever quits. :D

I also have a 2004 Chevy 2500 pickup with 201,000 miles on it.
Both vehicles run great!

You had me worried for a minute there! You showed no signs of needing a new heart the last time I saw you. :D

Sounds like a pretty good deal, especially the cost of your labor. 8)

My wife thinks I'm heartless at times ...

it will be 2 weeks before I can drop it in. my buddy isn't free till then and he has the hoist and all the other tools that make a motor swap easy. I _am_ too old to do this in the driveway again. 40 years ago that is what I would have been doing
