Wow! Jim ... the new options for board styles are great! So far I'm liking the softwood(?) style the best. What a sense of empowerment!! (haha)

Thanks Dennis! I messed around with some stuff and was able to get a hybrid between the old and new styles. It's called "oldwwa". Try it and let me know what you think.

I like the oldwwa, easy to read.

Keep up the great work, I really appreciate all you have/are doing.

Thanks

"OLDWWA" ! ! ! Thanks JIM M for taking the time to fine tune. To my eyes the silver was better than the soft wood but oldwwa is the best so far. The choices available really go a long way in personalizing the board to my habits of use.

I like the "oldwwa". It makes it easy to tell at a glance which forum I am at. I can't seem to see a link to the Woodworker's Central page with the mitermaster calculator and the Gazette links?

I must be overlooking something. Could ya'll explain what you're talking about? I don't see any options like what you're saying.

Skyrider:

In the upper right corner you should see an clickable link to "User Control Panel". Go there and look for another clickable link to "Board Preferences". That will take you to another list of options, one of which is "Board Styles". From the drop down list you can select one of several options for how the forum is displayed.

What a sense of empowerment! (hehehe)

JIM M: I'm with BOBHAM. I miss the old Wood Central page with all it's features, also I don't find a way so far to get to members galleries where their work was shown as thumbnails of posted pics. The galleries were wonderful sources for ideas and inspiration to excel. IIRC the galleries were available as a click tab on the members profile page.
Still lots left to explore

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to install a link to the home page this evening. Unfortunately there isn't an easy way to do this without risking a meltdown. As for the image gallery, it's still uncertain whether we can keep it given the corruption issues. Perhaps I can find another one to replace it. In the meantime people can upload photos as attachments to their messages. My only request is keep the file sizes below a couple MBs for now until I can get re-sizing working properly.

Back to work for me

Newtooth: You can still get to the WW Central page by typing in the address "www.woodworking.org" in the address bar, or simply highlighting the URL in the address bar and deleting everything after "www.woodworking.org". That doesn't get you to the the galleries but does give access to the mitermaster calculator and the Gazette articles.

I got a link installed to Woodworker's Central for those using the oldwwa and subsilver styles. Everyone should see it before the "Board index" link.
