These two plants came up in my garden near the area where we had cucumbers last year. Looked similar when plant was just starting. Now I have no idea what they are. First two pics look like might be a cantulope, last possibly a water melon. I have them growing up a trellis with the cukes, and if it gets too big that will be a problem. Any idea what they are.[img]

The top one looks like a cantaloupe/honeydew mix.

What does each one taste like? Are they all the same or is each a little different taste?

Haven't picked one yet. The two on the top are on the same plant. I am assuming the one that is almost pure white is younger since it is smaller. I have no idea how to tell when they are ripe. I thing it is probably some hybrid mix of a cantulope and honey dew. Probably going to try the larger one this week end. Will let you know the results.

Picked the larger of the two melons. Didn't realize it had several soft spots on the outside. Bad inside. Over ripe by a bunch:(.
Picked the smaller one today. Looks like the pictures is saw of a honeydew mellon. It was firm on the inside and the outside. Meat looks good but no taste. If this is a honeydew melon I guess I need to learn how to determine when it is ripe and ready to pick.[img]
