Well I had the child labor working in the shop this evening. The grandson ( six) was too sick to go to school the last two days. Yesterday I spent the day watching cartoons with him. Today the wife watched him since the school called for me to teach. When I got home he was feeling better and wanted to go to the shop to work. Since I have an order for 75 wooden tops that need handles I took him over to mark the centers of the handles. I showed him how to use a straight edge and draw the diagonals to mark centers on both ends. I then went over to the drill press to drill center holes. He marked the handles just as fast as I could drill them! and out of 76 handles he only forgot to mark both ends on two, Which is better than I usually do.! Here is a p[icture of him from last fall.
