No amount of government rules or regs. or even safety devices can save a fool from injuring them selves.
If you are talking abour seat belts, air bags, or saw stop, a person can still get injured or killed while using the equiptment if YOU dont use it properly.
I am all in favor of any thing to make life safer but, I don't think any of it should be made a law.
If (as in Kansas) helments for motorcycle riders are optional and someone is killed because he desided NOT to wear one, that is his responsibility. We all know that helments have been proven to save lives but, government should not make something mandatory.
Read one of my sig. lines...."An ounce of responsibilaty is worth a pound of state and federal laws."
Oh yea, and you can't legslate morals either but, that is for another post. :D

Yeah, I believe that for the most part we're all mature enough here to accept responcibility for our own actions. One of the many reason's I hang out around here. :wink:
