The nice thing about really sharp chisels is that they don't hurt much, and leave a really clean cut. Found out today when I drove a 3/4" blade into my thumb. 3 stitches, and I had to listen to our town nurse and my wife talking about girl stuff while my life was bleeding out on the operating table. Sheesh! :D

Sounds like the cure was more painful than the injury. :D

Time to get you some Kevlar gloves. That had to hurt. :(

You have no idea. Found out far more than I ever wanted to know about her ( the nurses) daughters bra size, and some drink that had something to do with chocolate, Amaretto, and yahoo's    :D

And then she tells me that she loves doing this kind of repair. So I told her next time I'd try to sever a complete limb.

Mine wasn't nearly as serious but it taught me this: At no time will any portion of my anatomy lie in the direct path of any sharp object, whether it plugs into an electrical outlet or not

Condolences to ya, man. I envy your sociology session.

Not.

Well, Gene, if you were a member of my family, you would have been accused of "pulling a Verna" .....yes, it seems that I'm the one who normally does those things (recent stitches from the hand pruners--dumb, dumb, dumb  ).

Heal well, and, you know, those Kevlar gloves aren't such a bad idea--carvers use them frequently.

Verna

My corollary to that is "Even if you think your anatomical parts are not in the direct path of a sharp object, think again!" It's amazing how blades can change direction in a flash!

Those medical people are on top of their game Gene, If they quietly stitched you, they knew you would be back. If they torment you they figure you'll be more careful next time!! :D Glad you are alright!
