At the Proton Cancer Center in Houston, one of the four units is devoted to children with brain tumors. It is heart wrenching indeed to see the little ones, marked by no hair, cheerfully awaiting their daily treatment. One recent little girl was always accompanied by older brothers and their friends, all teenage boys, who had shaved their heads in support.
