Hi all,

First let me say thank you for the nice things you said in Ray's post HERE

It has been a while since we posted and all sorts of things have been going on here. The Woodworker magazine has been keeping us, and particularly Ralph, very busy not only editing and writing but getting involved with the cover shoots all over the country and commissioning new material. The latest thing is the video side of things of which Ralph is a reluctant participant.

Last weekend saw the big London woodworking event; Get Woodworking Live which was held over three days plus a very long day setting up on the Thursday. The event was a great success but poor old Ralph is still feeling the effects and is now busy trying to make up the time lost in the magazine schedule.

Over and above that our other interests have kept us busy too. We are at the moment working on a new Model Railroad website for the same people who publish The Woodworker and it will be called www.getrailwaymodelling.com also available at: www.getmodelrailroading.com Although the website is not live yet a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes. It should be available in a few weeks time.

Outside work, some of you know that we are Meccano (Erector in the US) modellers and we have been active with the Meccano scene recently as you will see here www.my-meccano.co.uk

I am in trouble again for spending money at the woodworking show. I just had to have a couple of DVDs on turning by Richard Raffan who was demonstrating at the show. I must be the only wife who get frowned at by her husband for spending money at a woodworking show! I also get told off at the Meccano shows for the same thing - It usually makes all the blokes laugh when he starts moaning!

Things are getting back to normal now the show is over and most of the hard work on the railroad website is complete. So if it is alright with you guys we will resurrect The Daily Puzzler and take an active part in the WWA again.

Kind regards,
Sue :)

Hi Sue!! There Larry I beat you to it. :D

Good to hear an up date from you. Sorry Ralph is so swamped. :(

So a new Model Railroading magazine. Both Larry Norton and I also model railroad. Well at least I used to. I gave Larry a 1947 HO gauge switcher when we last met. I would be very interested in how that effort goes.

Tell Ralph to pop in and say hi also.

Hi, Sue!!!

Hi, Sue!!!

Hi, Sue!!!

Hi, Sue!!!

Hi, Sue!!!

Hi, Sue!!!

It's so good to hear from you! And, like Chuck, I can't wait to see the results of your model railroading venture! I've got an 8-1/2ft by 16ft space next to the shop where I'm going to build a railroad, if I can ever get those vanity draws built!

Oh, wait!

Hi, Ralph!

WOW, you kids really have been busy! At least it was busy with things you enjoy doing, and don't let that old Mother Hen Ralph keep you from enjoying these shows.

Ralph, play nice now.

Great seeing you both again and looking forward to the puzzlers again. I never win them, but I do learn a lot from them.

Oh yeah,

HI SUE! :D :D :D

Hi, Sue. Noticed your comment on model railroading. You might be interested in what's available on the subject from PopSci archives: http://www.popsci.com/archives . I did a quick search on it and found several old articles. Here's one from 1932.
