Well a lot of you know that Chris who I built the solo canoe with has been going to the Great Lakes Boat Building School in Michgan's U.P.

He also landed at a phenomenal church up there and got active in their various ministries. Well as it turns out he met a young lady there named Rachel and they hit it off pretty well. Turns out they have a lot more in common than they originally thought.

Chris proposed to her this afternoon and the future Mrs. Eastman said yes! We STILL HAVE NOT SEEN THIS GIRL! The last time we were actually in his town was last August before he was really "seeing" her.

But this will change this weekend. We are going up there to meet Rachel and go to church with them.

So the Chris that some of you know and have been watching build his life as well as boats is taking another big step. We are very glad and happy for them both. Their pastor says Rachel is a remarkable young lady and this is a great match.

Just thought you guys should know since you are extended family already. :D

Congratulations to Chris, Rachel, and you and your wife!!
They have a good start in life because of where and how they met. I wish them well.

Just tell Chris that the members of the WWA are pulling for them. Of course we do expect a wedding invitation. :-D
