The Wii is a ton of fun. Love the golf and bowling. Archery is tough.

I can concur with the sore muscles... my right shoulder of which isnt right since high school football days ( my hitting shoulder) i spent an hour or so playing the game Wii Resort and they have a Sword Fighting Like fencing except you slice, chop, whack the opponent until they back up enough u knock them off of the platform that looks like its 100' above the water and then they take a dive and big splash... well i was whoopin up last night and kept it goin for a long time until i got beat 1 time and was like ....yeah i need a break LOL.

Lots of Fun.....already looking at a first person shooter game for myself like Call of Duty.... i dont know abou this wii thing may cut into my shop time?

Hejlik : trick to mario cart is to not OVER STEER.... LOL watching my 5 yr old son play you would think he is steering a pirate ship on the open sea... and i keep telling him to watch me ...only turn it a hair in either direction works great and it is a BLAST to play.

In our family, Chance spear-headed a drive (meaning getting financial backing from siblings  ) to get our father a Wii for Christmas.

Now, mind you, Daddy will be 80 years young in April. He still bowls on two bowling leagues, but he does get a bit bored in the winter when he can't get outside as often.

Daddy had played the bowling Wii at Chance's house earlier this year and really, really enjoyed it. But he wouldn't pay the $199 for the Wii for himself.

But, Daddy poo-poo'd the Wii when he saw it in the box under the Christmas tree. "I'm not going to hook that thing up!!!!" in the normal gruff Daddy voice. OK, fine....Chance offered to hook it up......"I don't want that thing hooked up!!!!", again in the normal gruff Daddy voice.....

So, we left Daddy's house with the Wii still in the box on Christmas Eve.

Yesterday, Daddy called Chance asking specific questions, because Daddy had been surfing the Internet getting most of his questions answered  Then Chance and Andrew went down and helped Daddy hook the rest of the Wii up.

Well, today Daddy and his wife played bowling, golf and tennis.....and more than once :D :D

So, I have to hand it to Chance--you did good getting Daddy a Wii--it'll help keep him busy and more active this winter

We love ours-- the kids got a game this year where they hold the controllers like they are light sabers and duel like skywalker et al...

Madden is my fav... you actually hike the wii controller like it is a ball and then make a throwing motion to throw the ball... tons of fun
