Hmmm, for me, it's 4 hours and 32 minutes...

But, one of those hours is lunch with Rhonda and the boys!

I've already been off for 3 days and will be until Jan. 4. Then on the 8th I get to go spend a fortune at the woodworking show in Timonium.

Hey Guys,

Go ahead and rub it in. I'm going to be "on call" until Jan. 4th. Since that day's my birthday, I think I'll unilaterally declare that to be New Years Day, and make up for lost time.

Between the snow and the big move, I've just got 2 hours of rest here in the office until I have to go to work. :(

I've been off since Monday night... but got home really late. We'd had a bit of snow a couple of days earlier (very unusual for Southern Britain this early in the winter) It seemed tyo be melting and by mid to late afternoon it was raining. A few minutes later the rain turned to sleet and then to heavy snow.
I didn't think it would settle but it did and cought the whole of Southern England unprepared.... airports closed..... trains cancelled...... trafic crashes all over the place.
My wife and I were out visiting housebound patients. Finished the last one about 5 o'clock it then took me til 8.45 to get the approx 10 miles back to my practice. Every route I tried was blocked.... mainly by crashed or broken down buses.

I then had to rescue my receptionist who had been stuck at a bus stop 1/2 a mile away from work and unable to get home and then take my daughter home as well. Finally got home after 11 pm!

After all that I don't think we'll have a white Christmas .... its been raining on and off all day and I think it will all be gone soon

Back in work 29th and 30th then restart in the New Year on the 2nd.

Sorry I went a bit :OT: there a bit

Ray

Hummmm......I was on vacation Monday and Tuesday, half a day today (wine tasting at two wineries with my nephew this afternoon--WOOO HOOO!!!).

I'm working tomorrow and Friday.....I should be off Saturday and Sunday unless I get called in.

Then 5 days next week--yes, I volunteered to work New Year's Day, too. Not going to popping any corks on New Year's Eve either

Hopefully all of this OT will pay for a redo of my bathtub :D

Closed the store at 4:30 and won't be open till Monday the 28th.
Taking a long Christmas holiday, first time we did that, but, we need the time to relax some.
With the down economy, we have done surprisingly well. Had some slow months between April and Sept, then things started to get better, sales are down from last year, but, we expected they would be. Never went into the red, but, only because we didn't take a pay check. All bills were paid so I guess we did good.
The new year is coming, so hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and don't forget to be careful with the spirits and drive responsibly.
