Watch out Vicia, I think we're going to catch the brunt of the blizzard they are predicting tomorrow and Wednesday. The predicted snow totals for our area went from 2-4" at 7 am this morning to 6-12 at noon with 40-50 mph winds all day Wednesday. Sounds like a classic blizzard. I've got my warm sock and a couple good books ready.

Anyone for a blizzard party?

'Bout time to break out some sweaters I guess. Shoooot 'round here we don't even put away the shorts until it gets down to 15°.

Funny thing is Thursday night they predicted 2-5" and we woke up to 15" on the picnic table (14" in the yard but the yard was not frozen so some of that melted).

Hey you guys be careful over there and don't do anything like "hold my beer, watch this".

Yo Dad, you'll get a kick out of this. This morning the temp was 9 degrease and there was more frost INSIDE my car than on the outside! We now have a good ten inches of mixed snow, get this most of the channels already have a layer of ice completely covering them. Brrr!

Yeah but Chris you guys are still wearing Teva sandals and swim shorts up there aren't you? By the time the Les Cheneaux Islands and channels get good and covered over you probably break out the sneakers and put away the sandals.

:D :D :D

Believe me, I have been watching it--doesn't look good at all, we started out at 4-6 and now 7-12 with wind gusts of 45+, and the high on Wednesday is supposed to be 7, the windchill will be nice too.

I don't know why we can't get snow without winds, just a falling snow, but no--it has to blow into piles over your head.

I am hoping that I get home from work tomorrow, as for Wednesday, just don't know, they do frown on County Secondary Roads workers not getting to work.

I might have to stay in the town where I work, don't like to, Duane isn't feeling well, and we have a new puppy, so hate to have him out in the cold with the pup and staying up late with it.

Maybe it will just go away?? I wish.

Vicki

Larry, now why would I need two socks? I'm the one legged woodworker, remember?

Vicki, Hope Duane gets over his not feeling well real soon and what?!! A puppy? Cool! What model, age and sex?

Hope nobody gets stuck where they don't want to be. Keep your toes warm everyone.

Festivities include pulling the loader and installing the blade on the tractor at my house. SiL has the plow, but not the new tires for his F250, so I imagine he'll be walking the blower a bit if it hits with force.

So Jon - anybody ever tease you about being busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest? :D Sorry couldn't resist. My Grandpa Thompson was run over by a train when he was about 29 and lived to be 94. He lost his right arm and left leg and used that phrase a lot. "I'm busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest"! Us grandkids would roll on the floor laughing.

The man ran circles around us grandkids and flat wore us out. Sure miss that old Swede.

Used it a million times, Tim.

My other favorite is: What do you say to a one-legged hitchhiker?

Hop in.
