What I time we had.

My wife and I had a Special Halloween Screening Of Stephen King's
" MISERY" ON BLUE RAY..
We received two books and a treat bag..
It was kinda neat.

The left bookcase and top shelf of the right are all S. King. Mostly first editions. I'm waiting for a signed limited edition of his latest due in a couple of weeks.

A new short story comes out in one of this month's New Yorker Magazine. Another 2 part story comes out in Fangoria Magazine in Dec and Jan.

I have read most of his stuff but his latest works are not as good as his earlier novels.

many moons ago I read his books religiously.... but not for the last 10 years or so.... I think the last one I read may have been "the girl who loved tom gordon"

I had him on my paper routs as a kid. Had the folks who owned the house before him. He kept the delivery....

Interesting story. In high school I lived across from the 13th St Park in Bangor. One summer I was reading Thinner. It is a story about a guy who has a curse put on him by a gypsy. The final scene takes place in a Park. The guy meets the gypsy in order to complete some trade or something to get the curse lifted. After the transaction, the guy walks off through the park. The park in the book was the park across from my house. Stephen King lived through a wooded side of the park. He has since built many nice things in the park for kids; baseball stadium, hockey rink, etc. Anyway, I finish the book and look out my window at the park....... Stephen King is walking off through the park. Freaked me out a bit.

I have seen him a couple of times on his moped in Bangor. He does great work in the giving department around the city and such..
