So, have you ever built your own woodworking tools? :-)

Hey Tom,

I'm assuming that you mean other than jigs, bench hooks, handles, and the like. I've made my own scrapers, I've made a couple of knives, including a crooked knife. and I made a toothing plane. The toothing plane is such a joy to use that I've often considered making some others. I have the plans for a matched pair of skewed panel raising planes, but haven't had the guts to tackle that geometry yet.

Tom

Not sure I like your assumption that just because I've only built a couple of tools its tough. The ones I built have been easy but... there's only two of them :-D

One is a Scratch stock with double fence. (Sorry no Picture it's in storage still)

The other my Rasp on Steroids..

yup, couple of mallets and one (failed) plane... will have to try another soon  . I've also made a dowler and several "redneck clamps" (arch shaped attachment with wedges... half jig, half tool... it's a jool!)

I don't know if router tables count as a "tool" but I've made those too (and the fences)

The only things I have built is a crosscut sled and some push tools for the table saw.

Need to rebuild or redo my CC sled. Out of square as of last use.

Oh I did make a box joint cutting jig also. Not used it yet.
