Caught it in the Delaware Bay, I already ate it. They are having a good run up here and this is by no means as big as some of the real "slobs" that have been caught by others.

Ron,

That is a gorgeous stripper!! (Or is it stiper . . . . oh I always get them confused ;) )

It makes me home sick!!

One day I was fishing with my son and he had a hard strike. He was fighting it for a bit and then the line went slack. He reeled in a large rockfish head . . . . and part of a body with fresh teeth marks.

44", (My friend measured it when it was flopping on the deck so that could be off a little bit. Never weighed it, I would guess 25 lbs. A rockfish that long could weigh a lot more but it was fairly thin for a fish that long. Perhaps a male, the cows are often much wider in the body. If you look at the sze of the mouth compared to my hand you can imagine what a fish like that is capable of eating.

There has been quite a few fish caught lately up here in the 30-40 pound range. Unfortunately for me the marine forcast is not good for this weekend so I can only dream. Possibly a weather/tide window Sunday afternoon.

A family and a full time job has ruined many a good fisherman. LOL

It kinda looks like a "fake plastic fish"
