So my wife calls me this morning and says a friend of hers can get two Red Sox tickets for the second game of tonight's doubleheader.
We live about 1-1/2 hours away so I tell her sure if she can get 'em.

Well the guy comes through and I call him. Turns out he is a doorman at one of Boston's luxury residences and a resident gave him 4 tickets.
He offered two of them up to my wifes friend. She couldn't use them. But we sure could.

I packed Dan up and off we went to Boston. The friend not only had the tickets but offered to park my truck in one of his spaces.
That is a big deal in Boston as the parking can cost as much as Tickets. So we ended up with free tickets and parking.

We took the T from Gov't Center to Fenway We enter the park at Gate E and go to find our seats.
Turns out they were on the Pavilion level and we could have sat in the restaurant if we wanted too, but we decided to sit outside and have a great view.

We were fourth section up just off third base. Just left of the Green Monster

We had a great time. Ate peanuts/pretzels and sodas. This was the third game of a series against Tampa Bay and the second of a day/night doubleheader.

Boston had won the two previous games and the series was on the line for the sweep. We had what I consider our best pitcher going for us (John Lester)

We ended up winning the game 4-0 and completed the sweep for the weekend.

On the way back we found a carousel down by the aquarium so we went for a ride.

All in all a great end to a good weekend.

I still remember going to see the Indianapolis Indians with Daddy and Chance when we were in grade school. Fond memories, and one of us still has the baseball bat :D :D
