For the Cooks out there!!!!! GREAT TIP..........Peeling a potato the easy way!!

If you make potato salad, you are going to want to watch this one. Too bad we didn't know about this YEARS ago! Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island is in the video. Peeling the cooked potato was the least desirable part in making a potato salad. Check this out! Peeling a cooked potato couldn't be easier!!! Enjoy.

P.S. Now I haven't tried this, but I just heard from a friend that he has used this same method for years on tomatoes and peaches. Now I just need to remember this!!!!

Ok, if she was such a wise gal... why couldn't she build a danged boat to get them off the island?

Maybe cause Mary Ann liked "Mary Jane" too well and it was growing good on the Island?? :D :D

She is using a different kind of pot on the video

While its a good method, its pretty time consuming I reckon. My daughter got one of those old fashion apple peelers and corers for Christmas last year.
Works great on spuds too!

Fun to see MaryAnne back in action! Thanks Verna.

I was in the catering/restaurant business for years and never peeled a potato for potato salad, we always used red potatoes and washed but never peeled them, they are also the whitest and firmest potato...
