Hey Guys,

I just won third place in a woodworking Haiku contest. I've been told that my poetry had a Zen like quality to it. The prize is a supply of tack cloths? Oh well, I guess perfection is its own reward. :D

My entry:

As more shavings fly,
The less I am inclined
To sweep them all up.

Sort of sums up my personal philosophy, doncha know.

Tom

That'll teach me not to forget to check my e mail. I havn't looked at the Journal for a couple of months. If I'd known that comp was on I'd have entered myself :(

Yours was definitely the most Haiku like to my mind.

'The well driven nail'... what's that got to do with quality work

Hey Tom,

Oh yeah? Well, take this...

The dust collector
howls and whines, but silently,
shavings make no dust

Haiku war, I love it. :D

How can I replace
Big Ugly, when I only have
two legs, and no vise?

What do you mean that
You've got no vices when
Poetry fits that bill
