Returned today
From Marysville, chaos
Destruction is there

Marysville is a town that lost over 45 people in
the fires of Feb 7 09. I spent the last two days there
filling in for their fire brigade, who have been stood down
because of the losses.

The town looked like a bomb had flattened it, yet you
could still see the beauty that had once been there.

If any of you ever travel over here, please go and visit
Marysville. It is a magnificent place that will weather
the destruction that has rained down upon it. And it will
become a picture postcard town again in a matter of years
if not months.

The people are incredible and seemingly very resilent.

Thanks for reading,

eric

We can only guess
The sacrifices you've made
Hats off to you mate

Eric, thanks again for your work to help your community in a time of need. The fact that you still see beauty there (and brag on the continued beauty that will be there soon!) speaks volumes of your spirit.

Lawrence

Verna, you don't need
a dedicated glue pot...
A hot pot will do!

Use a glass bottle
(an old pickle jar is fine)
and make your glue there...

The hot pot/bottle
combination will save you
a lot of dollars!
