cordless, ther sometimes arises a situation where a corded tool is needed. Many corded shop tools need the correct power to work. Using an extension cord that does not have the proper capacity is asking for trouble. here is information about making the proper cord choice.

Very good information.
I have got into the habit of almost always buying 12awg extension cords.
