few minutes to think about the idea. Copper, brass, aluminum are non ferrous metals that can be worked with woodworking tools in many cases. Metal odd bits can be MacGuyvered into decorative pieces functional parts to projects and tools. For example the old school use of brass and or copper couplers or pipe pieces as ferrules on chisels. This URL is to an online catalogue of copper plumbing parts. If you page through and use your considerable imagination, you might hit on an item to key a design for a project. How about copper fittings fitted to walnut dowels to make a tie rack or necklace hanger?

Next time you’re in a big box check out the plumbing fittings for soldering and compression work. The variety is amazing.
