when you need to resaw a board and you either don’t have a bandsaw or don’t want to mess with a set up or a blade change..... ta daaa, you look to your table saw. Thicker kerf... check, more accurate (in most cases)rip.... check, cut quality... depends. Here is an article on the subject.
