clean and they will outlast you. Only muscle power and a small learning curve will make these incredibly useful in finessing work in your shop. Rasps and files can hog off lots of wood in shaping and files can smooth a pieces shape to perfection. A simple carding and brushing to remove errant swarf and prevent any corrosion will keep the tools in shape indefinitely. Next time you need just a little better fit on a piece, reach for a file and try it out, you might be amazed at the delicate work you can get from it.
