article if you need some help in understanding grain fillers and sealer stuff. You know that the finish you put on the project depends on the preparation, and some lumber specie have more open grain or coarser grain texture than others. What you want to have for a finished appearance depends on that grain texture. You won't ge the same look to the finish with oak as you might with birch or maple or cherry because of their different grain characteristics and the way the wood takes a finish.

Keep in mind that your lungs can't holler when they are being assalted so work outside when possible, work with really good ventilation if you can't work outside and if you don't have a bank in your shop most people won't call the police if you are wearing a mask  .
