many projects come to mind this season which will need thin strips of wood for workpieces. Fan trellis and plant cages, shade arbors and bench seats. Cutting the thin strips is usually a table saw task but can get hairy because the strips are thin and the fingers are fat SOOO what can you do. Here is a tip and how-to from WOODSMITH magazine for a jig that can ease the stress.

Tune up the saw, install a really sharp blade and cut the strips. Also, check out the neat reminder tip at the bottom of the article about grain.
