I'd say milk paint as well although there's no mention of pigmentation for color. I'm a bit suspicious of this one!

Hey Guys,

As a frequent advocate of milk paint, I can tell you that Ralph's description is lacking two key ingredients for milk paint. So my guess is casein glue, which incidentally, is a pretty lame glue. It doesn't have much strength or longevity when compared to another ancient formula, hide glue.
