Since My eye surgery I still have not got glasses that wok properly so I have a hard time measuring pieces. I made some adjustable "story sticks" so I can get accurate measurements on inside measurements such as when you are fitting the back of drawer slides.

I've done that once or so way back in the past so long ago I don't remember why I needed to do it. :-)

Didn't make up such nice devices
though. Just used a tiny C clamp and two sticks.
