I have found two simple aids to finishing. The first is a simple lazy susan bearing between two pieces of ply wood to allow for easy rotating small pieces. The second is a simple holder for cat food cans of varnish. The holder makes it easy to hold and the lip on the cat food can helps scrap extra varnish or lacquar off of the brush.
