My daughter insists that I use the 35 mm cup hinges instead of self aligning hinges . I made a fixture to locate the small holes properly, which had always given me problems. I made the fixture out of maple and steel drill bushings which I made. I set the drill press fence to locate the 35mm bit, then used the fixture to locate the small holes properly.I place the 35 mm plug in the hole and then drill the small holes, the fence on the fixture keeps the small holes in alignment.l

Great jig.
Youre very creative.

Me Im not creative and Im lazy.

I went and bought the Kreg cup hole jig and I like it.

It has adjustments for the various set backs the various cup hinges have.

Easy to use to. Rockler makes a cheap jig for the base plate holes .

One for F/F and one for frameless.

I bought the one for frameless as thats what I mostly make.

Nice idea. I took an extra piece of door rail and drilled a 35mm hole when I had te fence set up. Now when I have more holes to drill I put the 35 MM bit in the hole to the bottom and set the fence and depth stop to it.
