I got a load of cut offs from a cabinet shop for fire wood. Some of the pieces were longer than most because they were curly maple and chipped out when ran through their molder. I replaned some and made some picture frames.

I used some English oak stain I had left over from an earlier project, then two coats of poly.Stain really makes the curly grain stand out.
