I’m trying to build a very custom kitchen. I found at a garage sale a horizontal shaper raised panel cutter with the perfect profile I could ever hope for. The problem is that it is as dull as ever. So I figured I would just search the net and buy a new one. Well I have spent hours looking at every shaper bit manufacturer I could find and never ever found the profile matching my garage sale cutter. It is orange in color so I thought it was a CMT.... but no! So if any of you have info to point me to a place to look at more cutters. Thanks for your time. Jim in Nashville, TN

Hey Jim,

I use Freeborn Tools cutter heads. Their carbide line is orange colored. I like Freeborn because they are fully backfilled and are a bit safer to use. Unfortunately, that means that they are not removable and replaceable blades. They are very good quality though and I believe are a good value as well.

Good luck,
Tom

Why don't you just get it sharpened?
If it's Freeborn they can do it for you, they also can make any profile you want.
