Catching up on being away for several years. Here are a few photos from a project I did 2 years ago. It's a king farmhouse bed made of solid poplar and finished with gray primer (underneath) and white poly (General Finishes) on top. My wife did the distressing.

I actually made 2 of these at the same time. The second one is queen sized finished with a dark walnut stain and clear coated. Sorry, no pics of the second one.

Looks good! I am glad you had success with the primer than poly, good to know.

Very nice bed, Peter! Good choice with the poplar....I really like using poplar because it is easy to work, hard enough to be durable and it takes paint or finish very well.
