DRSTRIP: Whoa, wow, holy cow, so many questions about the gorgeous box of drawers. From the photos it would appear that the box uses the folded box technique you used on the Christmas boxes. Are he drawers on integral wooden slides inside the box? Are the drawer faces veneered for the dramatic contrast? Is the carved design a project from your CNC program? As usual for me, I am not good with visualizing sizes. What are the overall dimensions of the project and what materials did you use? I am fascinated by the details of your work!

Yes, it uses the folded box technique like my Christmas boxes, just a little bigger. The drawers ride on wooden slides that are inset into dados cut in the box. The drawer fronts are 3/8" walnut with 1/16" maple front and back. The design (an old Mimbres pottery design) is cut through veneer and into the walnut for contrast, as you guessed. The design was cut with a CNC router - no way I could do that by hand. It's about as big as a gallon milk jug.
Cherry, walnut, and maple.
