Forty-two years ago my wife and I received as a wedding present a Dansk teak salt shaker/pepper grinder. It has come apart, splitting vertically along the original glue line. I want to glue it back together. I cleaned the parts with acetone, then tried Gorilla Glue but the halves separated after a month or so.
What glue should I try next? Epoxy? Super Glue?

You got the acetone part right, but you probably should redo the acetone treatment 3 or 4 times over a few days, since the oils in the wood will migrate. Also acetone doesn't do much except thin the natural oils, so you need to wipe it up with something absorbent (papertowel, etc.). Sanding lightly to rough it up some will help with this and also give the glue something to grab hold of. The other part is that you need to use a glue with some flexibility, such as Titebond III.
