Nice looking drill press!
Looks very much like mine except my table is round and the drill press is about 35 years old! LOL

I bought mine from Harbor Freight back in '75 or so. :)
Now all you have to do is build a stand with the drawers to store all the bits and things.
It's ALWAYS SOMETING!!! LOL

Yeah, Rapid Roger - there is always something else. A mobile stand will be next. I hope mine lasts as long as yours has. I plan to give it a good workout this year.

If you can source out a decent metal file folder they make a good stand, just add a bottom and wheels and "bobs your uncle"

Looks a lot like mine - Grizzly, too. One note ... I replaced the depth stop, that flimsy sheet metal angle, with a more robust piece of stainless steel angle iron I had layin' around. Unless they've improved on the stock stop, it's easily bend if enough pressure is applied to hand wheel.

It's a protective shield - it flips up out of the way to change a bit.

Grizzly apparently upgraded the depth stop when they added the shield. The manual had an addendum. But I will keep an eye on it and follow your lead if it becomes necessary. Thanks for the heads-up.

That looks like you will get a lot of use out of it. Nice bench you got it sitting on too! How old is that?
Thanks
Eric

Eric - an old friend gave that to me years ago. He said his great uncle owned it. It's at least 100 years old. I will see if I can find a photo uncluttered.
