I had a bbq with a group of festool and woodworking enthusiast. So Phil Beckley the Festool UK trainer came and brought this big beam to demo the beam planer and chain mortiser and the HKC which has a dado attachment. It was a solid oak beam. When it was over he asked me if I wanted the beam.

I said sure why not. So I planed it to about 3" thick so I wouldn't have to do a double cut .Using my CMS w. TS75 module and a panther blade I ripped the beam to 1" thick pieces. I tell ya that TS 75 w/ a panther blade ripped that oak like a hot knife through butter. The 2nd photo is a friend using the chain mortiser along with a shot of the beam. the first is the leaving after being ripped setting on my CMS.

Now what to build with it :>D

Could you elaborate on what is a 'chain mortiser'?
