It's been a while since I posted anything, but now I have a little something to show for my time!

Started with a pile of boards that looked like this:

After a few weeks of applying various sharp implements, sand paper and a soft lint free cloth, I ended up with this:

Fortunately the LOML likes them!
She also thinks it is more productive than making knives! Go figure.
But, I'm working on two more of those . . . . . .

Thanks Dennis!
Something I failed to mention, there is not 1 single nail in either of them. The only screws are for the hinges and handles, plus large screws hold the units to the wall studs.
There are almost 50 individual pieces of wood in each cabinet!

:D Yep.

No offense to the Kreg company, but that's not my idea of wood craftsmanship.
The guy on the PBS show American Wood Shop can claim what ever he wants, but mortise and tenon or tongue and grove are my idea of heirloom work.
The stiles for all four corners in the box of each cabinet are glued together with a lock-miter. It makes a VERY strong joint, but very careful attention must be paid to sizing the pieces AND setting up the router table!
