This is what I have been doing for the last several weeks. It took longer to do than it should have as does everything I do. Medicine cabinet to replace ancient, 50 years plus metal cabinet with sliding mirrored glass doors. The rust was one of it better qualities.

Made of white oak and stained with minwax Early American under rattle can poly. Blum full overlay self closing hinges. I made two sets of doors for practice of pine in order to determine how to get the hinges right and minimum width of styles and rails and also the slotting to install the 1/4" thick mirrored glass. I should have taken a before pic but it was just too ugly to grace these pages. Also installed the new LED lights above because the built in light fluorescent light of the old cab had not worked in 20, perhaps as many as 30 years (refer to "longer to do" etc. above.) Debbie likes it and that's all that matters. :-D

Hey Paul,

Lookin' good!
I notice that there are no knobs on the doors, does that mean that you cut finger catches on the underside?

Cheers,
Tom

Tom as yet I have not done either one, but am leaning toward the finger groove.
