Hi All,
It's been a while since I've been able to share any new work. I hope everyone is well.
Here is the latest piece I've made.

Standing Desk
Cherry, Mahogany, Basswood & White Oak
Oil Finish
44" x 22" x 25"

Works great as a book stand as well.

I've also been able to work on a proper website: http://www.roddonovan.com

I think it's time I start taking this more seriously and try to make some money.... ;)

Enjoy,
Rod

First off I love cherry. Secondly there are so many interesting details to that piece I have to hand it to you for creativity, design and willingness to be bold! Awesome piece!

That's a really interesting design.

I simply LOVE Cherry. That piece will age to wonderful, beautiful warm color.
Great use of stock across the front!

I also use the Sap wood, knots and other defects to add to the warmth and charcter of many of my pieces.
They age to wonderful colour.
I often times let them sunbathe or use a UV light to hasen the colour change.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Dewayne - On the photography, I got lucky with some floodlights and an iPad, and about 150 shots taken. ;)

Enjoy,
Rod
