OK, not fine wood working but it does involve wood.

Our two dogs are rather annoying to people not into canine companions. They're not aggressive other than they'd like to lick you to death. The lab is a jumper so that's not cool either. OK, my bad, I've not had (read taken) the time to socialize them properly but I'd rather they serve as my Distant Early Warning system while I'm living out here in the country.

This will allow us to separate company from the dogs either in the front yard, for 'back door' friends, or in the back yard for more formal visitors.

The fence boards were milled from one of the cedar trees we had taken down a few years ago. I wasn't sure I'd have enough for a more traditional board-on-each-side-of-the-rails design so sandwiched them between rails on the exterior. Along with making it easier to clean the detritus that accumulates in a years time on anything horizontal.

Thanks to any number of procrastination projects, this has only taken me about a month to build.

Looks nice! Also nice to seperate dogs from some people who are scared of them.
