little lessons.
If your dust collector's lower bag is tight and full
and the upper bag has a big bulge on one side,
it might be a sign that it is full and cannot
pull any air.

I came close to that happening just last week.
I caught mine in time but, just barely. I still had about 1-1/2" of empty space in the lower bag. :)

Hey Guys,

Try cleaning out an eight foot cyclone. You basically have to suit up in HAZMAT gear and start digging.
After the third time, I installed a proximity sensor in the collection drum.
Now, I always look up to check the blue light before I start work.

Cheers,
Tom

Used to happen all the time, except I would notice when the lower bag got hard and the top bag started filling up.

Now I have the Festool CT and I can tell when I get no crust collection I at all and the machines sound funny

We could shorten this thread by restricting replies only to those who claim this never happened to them :-)
Rules me out.
