YOU CAN'T ALWAYS HAVE IT YOUR WAY.

Was gluing up a top for a walnut cabinet I've been working on one day a month for the past year. 25 year old walnut I had milled years ago. This stuff is so flat and none of it has warped while working it. Had a 12" wide piece and an 8" wide piece that matched as close to perfect as you would ever see. After jointing and planing the 8" piece it warped up on me..............back to the jointer, but it just got worse!

Sooooo I found another piece to use which looks fine, but not nearly the match of the other one.

Sometimes the wood calls the shots!

It's all good. :)

Ah yes the joys of working with wood.. Well it sounds like you came up with a fix so all your work wasn't for naught.

Hey why not post a photo of it. I'd love to see it.

When it's complete I will, sometimes life keeps you busy with more pressing matter, but I will post a pic when done.
