Tom -

Some time ago you asked about a cedar shake bolt. I've had this cedar log lying about in the yard for quite a while and decided to whack it up for the bonfire. Then I found that there was some pretty sound wood inside after ripping off the outer decayed stuff.

The block on top measures 11 x 8 1/2 x 13" long for scale. There is still some checking on the ends of some of the blocks. Don't know what size bucket you were intending to cooper but if this material is of any use to you I'll bring it down for the pig roast.

Hey Dennis,

That would be great! I'm looking forward to making lots of mistakes, but hopefully I'll be able to make a bucket for each of us.

Cheers,
Tom
