Still working it. Draw fronts are getting milled out. I made some 3/4 dowel pulls.
Going to Home depot in a week or two for the top planks. I need some vertical grain. I know the stuff i need is hard to find
in the store :D and will take some time to find.

So lets see here. The whole dresser will be stained pecan with a satin finish.
The wooden pulls will be spray painted using a hammered bronze finish.
The drawers will be rounded over in the inside after removing the fronts one more time.

LITTLE BEAR: Just a thought about straight vertical grain. If you can't find or don't want to pay for wide quarter sawn boards, you can always get wide pine boards 1x12 and cut the vertical grain sections from them and glue up the panel. Much less expensive and glued up in sections with biscuits and easy to handle. More work and time involved but usually one solution to big panels. It is also easy to cut out, knots checks and pitch pockets when you are dealing with longer wider boards to cut up to size

I purchased the rest of the wood to finish off the build this weekend, I will have the dresser complete I hope.
Hey I just don't have the gas in my butt to do any extra work in the shop.
Picture shows drawer front and 3/4 dowel pulls painted red with a pecan stain over pine.
The End

Bad grain configuration :D :D :D Well I done it :D :D :D I will change this drawer front out with a new one.
Or I won't be having a good nights sleep.

I will brush on the poly satin and install the red wooden pulls today at some point, then snap one more picture.
I m very happy with this dresser. Nice big deep drawers and all.
Next time you build with pine ? try some pecan stain, the stuff makes the pine look very rich in color.
Three top drawers are 19" deep x 15" wide x 7" high.
The four other drawers are 19" deep x 26" wide x 9" high.
Total cost was close to 400.00 all the wood was purchased from Home depot.
The drawer sides are 3/4 pine as well. I wrote the price down so people can get an idea on what something like this cost.
I think the price for something like this will be about 900 to 1300.
Thanks for looking .
The End

Looks great! I think the colors and dimensions really work well.
