Yes, I had seen the first one on face book but, I hadn't seen the second. 8)
Very entertaining. But, it would take me FOREVER to cut the joints and then, I would miss it by 1/4" anyway!

Hey Dennis,

I have a whole book on, "The Art of Japanese Joinery", but a book of diagrams isn't the same as watching it go together.

Thanks,
Tom

I find it beyond belief that all that joinery can be laid out, cut, chopped and whatever, and it all fits. I didn't notice anywhere where it might have indicated how much time was involved. Personally I don't think I'd live long enough to make even one of those joints.

Smart people for sure. Real thinkers and workers. That has to be cut out using jigs that allow repeat cuts all the time.
Its not how they cut the part that's amazing , its how they created the joint in the first place.
One has to give credit .
