In between eating turkey and ham I have done some woodworking too.
A knifeblock for a new set of knives. Used the blueprint in the book "one plank projects". Made of pine and oil finish.

A candlestick holder in a shape of a horse. Read a historybook for my children and there the horse shape was as a handle on a mangle board made by someone 300 years ago. Made of birch dyed oiled and waxed.

Thanks for watching.

great digital woodworking! :-D Photoshop?!
And you are not so far off in your thoughts either. 7 candle electric candlesticks are very very common in sweden. Ive got 3 in my house! i remember an American friend visiting me at Christmas time many years ago. In the taxi from the airport she said; I didn t know Sweden had so big jewish community?
I asked why nd she pointed at all the windows in the appartment blocks. 7 armed candlesticks in almost every window. Why it is a tradition here I dont know. But it looks good in the winter darkness.
