Thanks all, really appreciate the comments.

Zulu, a friend cleared a fence line and had a bunch of old
mesquite down. We got it cut and I really had a time getting usable
wood out of the weathered, and cracked wood.

Duan,
A lot of folks just build the cracks and knots and holes that are typically in mesquite right into their project.

Yours looks really nice.

Zulu, if I showed the bottom of the top you would see a bunch of
stuff just left and filled with epoxy.
