Thought I'd pass this around. In the South, various wood chompers attack just about any wood that's stored outside, or is open to the outdoors. I've had a problem with carpenter bees in particular for years and have been using Ortho Home Defense Max for control, which is a pretty good product for home use but it's kinda expensive - about $16/gal. Went by Lowes today to get some, and spotted a new product out by Spectracide, which is effective against everything the Ortho is, but specifically also against carpenter bees, as well as other wood eaters according to the label.
And it's only $6/gal!! So I bought a gallon to see if it's gonna work. Called "Bug Stop" and is supposed to be effective for up to a full year.
I can even use the same electric sprayer nozzle that came with the Ortho! What deal!
